The trail(s):
The northern part of the trail is built on an abandoned rail bed, so the grade is gentle. Ski grooming is completed on this section from the Root River trail junction to Co Rd 16 for about 12 miles. The southern half leaves the rail bed and provides rolling hills to ski.A Minnesota Ski Pass is required to ski on this trail. There is no snowmobiling on this trail.
Facilities:
- Ski passes are sold at the Preston courthouse or the Lanesboro trail center.
- Rentals are available at the Little River General Store in Lanesboro.
