From Deer River, take state Hwy 6 north 4 miles to Co. Rd. 19 right (east) go 3 miles turn left (north) on Co. Rd. 48 go 1.5 miles turn right (east) on Co. Rd. 160 and follow the signs about 2.5 miles

Approved Firewood Vendors

Description: The campsites are considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, a table, vault toilets, garbage cans, and hand-pump drinking water is available.

All sites are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Highlights:The campground is close to Cottonwood Lake, but not right on the water. The campground is very wooded, mostly pine.

•Cottonwood Lake is a panfish and bass lake, with a boat launch.

•This is a pretty remote area.
