Description: The Shafer Lake Day-Use Area is adjacent to the public canoe landing. This day use area is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. for picnicking, horseback riding, swimming, and canoeing.

Highlights: Connected to this day-use are 27 miles of horseback riding shared with Walter E. Stark Assembly Area and Horse Campground.
