Description: The campground is considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table.

All sites are on a first-come, first-served basis for a fee.

Highlights: Vinegar Ridge Recreation Area is located along the 42-mile multiple-use paved Root River State Trail and six miles of horseback riding trails. A visitor can also canoe or kayak for a short trip along the Root River State Water Trail within the recreational area.
