•Koochiching State Forest is located in northern Minnesota in Koochiching County. It encompasses 567,985 acres, 344,300 of which are state owned, making it one of Minnesota's largest state forests.
•Recreation opportunities in the forest include Little Fork River State Water Trail, Big Fork River State Water Trail, Tilson Bay Hiking Trail, Tilson Creek Ski Trail, and access to Rainy Lake.
