•Lyons State Forest is located in the central part of Wadena County about 15 miles northwest of the City of Staples. The forest can be reached from Staples by driving 5 miles west on Highway 10. Then turn north on Highway 26 for 10 miles.
• Wildlife viewing opportunities can be found by traveling the Crow Wing River State Water Trail which through the east corner or hiking through the Strike Wildlife Management Area.
