•Lyons State Forest is located in central Wadena County about 15 miles northwest of Staples. The forest can be reached from Staples by driving 5 miles west on Highway 10. Then turn north on Highway 26 for 10 miles.
• Wildlife viewing opportunities can be found by traveling the Crow Wing River State Water Trail, which runs through the east corner, or hiking through the Strike Wildlife Management Area.

Spring temporarily trail and road closers are now in affect due to wet conditions. Signs will be posted at entry points and parking lots. The closures include all unmarked roads and trails, unless specifically listed. •State forest roads are considered minimum maintenance roads. |
