•Mississippi Headwaters State Forest is located one mile south of Wilton on Beltrami County Highway 14 on Grant Lake.
•After the Mississippi River leaves Itasca State Park, it flows through Mississippi Headwaters State Forest. This part of the river is considered the most remote and pristine.
•This state forest has 95 lakes and ponds within its boundaries; 8,500 acres of public land open for your enjoyment are within 1,000 feet of one of these lakes and ponds.
