•The Nemadji State Forest is located in northeastern Pine and southeastern Carlton counties along the Minnesota-Wisconsin border. It can be reached by traveling east via county highways joining State Highway 23 near the towns of Askov, Bruno, Kerrick, Duquette, Nickerson, and Holyoke.

•Nemadji State Forest varies from gently rolling upland with large swamps in the south to steep stream valley and elongated swamps protruding into the forest in the northeast.

•Approximately 100 miles of trail are dedicated to ATV and OHM riding. The trail system connects with others such as the Willard Munger State Trail, St. Croix State Forest OHV trails, Gandy Dancer Trail, and Upper Willow Trails.

•Be prepared to see gray wolves, white-tailed deer, eagles, and many other forms of wildlife.

Most state forest road and trails are open to mountain bikes unless posted.

Spring temporary trail and road closures are now in effect due to wet conditions. Signs will be posted at entry points and parking lots. The closures include all unmarked roads and trails unless specifically listed.
