• Savanna State Forest is in northeastern Aitkin County. To get there, take State Highway 65 north from McGregor to County Road 14. Go east on Aitkin County Highway 14 for 10 miles. The parking lot for Remote Solitude is on the left.
•Fish or swim in the bountiful lakes, bike or hike to your heart's content, or enjoy 80 miles of grant-in-aid snowmobile trails and 17 miles of cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter.
