•Savanna State Forest is situated in northeastern Aitkin County. To get there, take State Highway 65 north from McGregor to Aitkin County 14. Go east on Highway 14 for six miles to Aitkin County 36. Then go three miles farther east to the parking lot.
•Fish or swim in the bountiful lakes, bike or hike to your heart's content, enjoy 80 miles of grant-in-aid snowmobile trails and 17 miles of cross-country skiing, or snowshoe in the winter months in Savanna State Forest.
•If you want to find a place to relax, to enjoy the basics in the peace and quiet of your own spacious campsite in Hay Lake Campground, then look no further.
