•Snake River State Forest is located in the northeastern corner of Kanabec County. State forests can be accessed from different points. Refer to the Minnesota state highway map for directions.
•Snake River State Forest is largely undeveloped. The best access to the state forest is via the Snake River State Water Trail and hunting/walking trails.

• Spring tempory trail and road closures are now in effect due to wet conditions. Signs will be posted at entry points and parking lots. The closures include all unmarked roads and trails unless specifically listed. • Portions of this state forest are classified as limited and closed to motor vehicle and OHV usage. Refer to state forest map for details. • Most roads and trails are open to mountain bikes unless posted. • There are no off-highway vehicle riding opportunities in the southern three-quarters of this forest. |
