•Lake of the Woods is sandwiched between Beltrami and Pine Island State Forests.
•There are no campgrounds within the forest. However, camping is available at Beltrami Island State Forest and Zippel Bay State Park.
•This forest is enjoyed in the fall by small game and deer hunters and snowmobilers who travel the several miles of grant-in-aid snowmobile trails in the winter.
•Your best access to the state forest is by county roads.
