I Can! Program Series: I Can Fish!
Want to take your family fishing, but aren't sure you really know how? Attend a free I Can Fish! hands-on program offered at Minnesota state parks this summer. Just show up and learn the basics of how to cast, tie a knot, and catch fish. New topics will be covered each week.
No experience necessary! Equipment and bait are provided.
The I Can Fish! programs are free, and you will not need a fishing license. (Unless you're fishing for trout, which always requires a trout stamp, most Minnesota state parks have places you can fish for free.)

Maybe you'd like help introducing your kids to fishing, or perhaps you just want to hone your own skills with an 'expert' nearby. Participants mostly just fish, but trained MinnAqua Naturalist Corps staff and experienced mentors will be on hand to share angler memories and offer helpful tips, encouragement, and interesting facts about aquatic insects, fish, and more. |
