Swim, fish, or boat the waters of Split Rock Lake, the largest body of water in Pipestone County. The lake is the predominant feature of this park. Stop by the Beach Side Trail Center for an excellent vista and to discover more about the area. Seven miles north of the park is the famous Pipestone National Monument.

Lake Aerator in Place:

The aerator has been installed in Split Rock Lake and has opened up a portion of water. Because of the unseasonably warm winter, ice is unpredictable and extreme caution should be used if venturing onto the ice.

Management Plan Amendment:

Split Rock Creek State Park's management plan has been amended to improve the horse trail system and proposed horse camp. Read the plan.

Group Camp:

The group camp at Split Rock Creek State Park can now be reserved online or by calling the park. Reservations can be made from three to 365 days in advance.
