Comments: Spring Lake is a gem of a lake. It is a small lake with very clear water and a healthy aquatic plant community. There is a good population of gamefish. However, water level is currently very low which makes fishing from shore and the pier difficult. A fish survey conducted in 2008 found moderate numbers of northern pike and largemouth bass. This lake occasionally will have nice sized bluegills, and some up to almost 9 inches were sampled in 2008, but most were less than 5.5 inches. No crappies were sampled, but have since been stocked. A fish survey is scheduled for 2013.
