Eagle Point Lake

Location:

Eagle Point Lake is located within Lake Elmo Regional Park Reserve. 

Fish Consumption Advisory:

Minnesota Department of Health has issued a Do Not Eat fish consumption advisory for Eagle Point Lake due to PFOS concentrations. The following link has more information: PFOS Information

Species Present:

Bullhead species: more abundant than average, smaller than average.

Boat Access:

There is no boat access to this lake. The county has developed a small, carry-in access at the east bay of the lake a short walk from the first parking lot within the park. 

Shore Fishing:

Anglers may fish the entire shoreline. It should be noted that the entire shoreline is undeveloped. Fishing in this lake will require considerable effort. 

Lake Management Plans:

  1. No fish management is planned for this lake. It is best suited as a waterfowl resting and production area. 

Comments:

This lake winterkills regularly. Fish emigrate into this lake from the tri-lake system (Demontreville, Olson and Lake Jane) immediately upstream.
