This stream is a tributary of the Vermillion River running from Lakeville to Farmington.
Brown Trout: average abundance, average size with an occasional lunker.
Rainbow Trout: lower than average abundance, average size.
There are two areas in the vicinity of Airlake Industrial Park open to public fishing. The areas are located on either side of Cedar Ave, just north of 215th Street south.
- Re-survey/population assessment as needed.
- Stock 50 yearling brown trout each spring.
South creek is a channelized ditch for most of it?'s length. Two stretches of the stream were naturalized as a cooperative project between the DNR and the City of Lakeville. The stream is small, but some large trout have been sampled in it.
