Snow in Southern and Central Minnesota: November 26, 2014

An clipper-like system brought snow on the day before Thanksgiving over southern and central Minnesota. This one packed more of a punch for south central Minnesota. The heaviest snow fell from Fairmont in Martin County to Mankato in Blue Earth County and then eastward to Faribault in Rice County. Eight to eleven inches fell in these areas, with most of southeast and southwest Minnesota seeing from one to three inches. The highest total found so far is eleven inches eight seven miles west of Faribault. The Twin Cities International Airport saw 2.1 inches.

The bulk of the snow fell during the morning and early afternoon hours with visibilities down to a half mile at times at the Minneapolis International Airport at 10 and 11 am on November 26.
