Another nasty thunderstorm complex originating in Canada swept south through North Dakota and northwest Minnesota on Tuesday, July 19. Flooding, high winds, and large hail were reported including gusts reaching 70 mph in the Red River Valley. Crystal, North Dakota reported baseball sized hail lasting up to 35 minutes. Three tornadoes were reported in North Dakota, but none in Minnesota.

Street flooding was reported in Grand Forks, with tree damage and power outages in northern Beltrami County.
