Haarstad, J. 1990. The Acrididae of Minnesota. Final report submitted to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. 28 pp.

Overview:

Field surveys for Acridid Grasshoppers in "natural communities" of Western Minnesota were conducted from 16 July-30 Aug, 1990. These surveys enabled me to compare the grasshopper faunas of different plant communities, to identify habitat specialists, and to note which species are extremely rare or local in occurrence. Voucher specimens are housed in the University of Minnesota Collection (St. Paul), and this report provides a county x site x species breakdown of grasshopper species encountered. Rare Species were identified.
