Description: The campground is considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table. In addition, vault toilets, garbage dumpsters, and water are available.
All sites are on a first-come, first-served basis for a fee.
Highlights: Thistledew Campground and Day-Use Area features swimming, water access to a great walleye and crappie lake and the Thistledew ATV Trail.
ATV use is not allowed in the campground.
Attention Thistledew trail users:
Thisteldew Trail is open, except the section from the parking lot at Thistledew Lake south and east approx. 1/2 mile, then north/northwest back out to Co. R. 551 is closed for about a week due to dangerous logging equipment working on steep slopes along the trails in in this area.
