Short summaries watershed and lake habitat conditions and fish communities for each of the 24 sentinel lakes

Sentinel Lake Assessment Reports This link leads to an external site.

Comprehensive retrospective syntheses of watershed, water quality, aquatic plants, and fish community status and trends for all 24 lakes.  Reports will be coming online incrementally until 2012.  These reports summarize lake conditions up to present and will serve as a valuable baseline for future comparisons.

  • Water Levels
  • Water Chemistry
  • Continuous year-round near-surface water temperatures
  • Groundwater isotopes
  • Phytoplankton
  • Pelagic zooplankton
  • Aquatic plant community composition and cover
  • Fish community composition and relative abundance
