Comments: Abundant panfish make Beaver Lake a great place to fish. If the fishing pier is crowded, try fishing from the shore structures north of the pier. Beaver Lake is stocked regularly with Channel Catfish. A shoreline restoration was conducted in 2004 to stabilize the eroding shoreline. Shore fishing stations were incorporated into the restoration to provide angler access. A survey was conducted in July 2010.
2013 UPDATE: A problem with the aeration system in March 2013 caused a partial fish kill at Beaver Lake. Dead fish included Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Black Crappie and Sunfish. Fisheries staff has restocked the lake with Bluegill Sunfish, Pumpkinseed Sunfish, Yellow Perch, Channel catfish fingerlings and Walleye fry.
