Comments: Golden lake is a very nice fishing lake and provides angling opportunities for many kinds of game fish. A fish survey in conducted in 2007 found good numbers of catfish, northern pike, and bluegill. It is one of the better lakes to try for channel catfish.  The lake has an electric motor only ordinance, so you can comfortably use a canoe on it without worrying about boat traffic.  There is an access for canoe and carry-in access. A fish survey is scheduled for 2013.
