The Minnesota Forest Legacy Program has acquired public hunting rights and other public recreation opportunities on more than 250,000 acres of actively managed forest lands in Aitkin, Beltrami, Cass, Clearwater, Crow Wing, Koochiching, Lake, St. Louis, and Itasca counties. Opportunities include:
- Recreation opportunities include hunting, trapping, fishing, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and birdwatching.
- Check the individual Forest Legacy Area maps for motor-use restrictions.
To locate Minnesota Forest Legacy Program public hunting opportunities, select a township section by selecting on the red box. Selecting will open a PDF that displays a printable view of the area.
