Project Learning Tree (PLT)

Educator Workshops

As you may be aware, Project Learning Tree (PLT) in Minnesota has been cut back because the Division of Forestry experienced some major budget reductions. PLT will exist, but minimally, through June 30, 2013. The Department of Natural Resources is evaluating its role in how we handle forestry education.

If you want to share your thoughts or have questions about how this impacts you, feel free to contact me, Laura Duffey or 651-259-5263.

Educator workshops are open to any formal or nonformal educators, pre- and in-service classroom educators, natural resources professionals, naturalists, scout leaders, and others interested in environmental education. The workshops show educators how to use PLT to teach science, math, language arts, social sciences, art, health, and even physical education.
PLT of Minnesota offers educators several educator workshops facilitated by trained DNR volunteer facilitators and natural resource professionals.
