  • Heating and utilities

Actual consumption is charged. The cost varies according to how many cabins are heated and the temperature. Turning down the heat in the cabins during the day if not in use, helps keep the cost down.

  • Firewood

Can be purchased at the park office for $6.00/bundle. To arrange a large delivery, call prior to your stay. Don't move firewood! Burning non-local firewood can spread invasive species, and it's against Minnesota state law. Learn more. Always buy your firewood at the park, or from an approved local vendor. Find firewood vendors for Whitewater State Park.

  • Pets

No pets other than hearing or seeing-eye dogs or other service animals are allowed in state park buildings, lodging, cabins, and camper cabins, on tours or in beach areas.

  • RV’s

Recreational vehicles (RVs) will be allowed, if needed, for the elderly, handicapped or for medical reasons. Sleeping tents are not permitted at the Modern Group Camp.

  • Party tents

If you are planning on having a large party tent, ask us where it can be placed.
