Summary:
In 2004, 43 Minnesotans were awarded commercial turtle harvest licenses. Of these, 32 (74%) reported harvesting turtles in 2004. 15,708 turtles (painted, snapping, and spiny softshell) were reported harvested, and 4,944 turtles were reported caught and released, including one Blanding's turtle and three common map turtles.
