David Dill - Taconite State Trail (Ely to Purvis Area)

This 11-mile segment of the David Dill - Taconite State Trail connects Ely to the Purvis Lake trail shelter, as well as to the Prospectors Trail system. Class 1 and 2 ATV and off-highway motorcycle (OHM) riding is permitted along this entire trail segment. Users may encounter horseback riders, as well as mountain bikers, hikers and backpackers. All users must yield to horses. Motorized users should stay to the right side of the trail except when safely passing other users. This trail is provided and maintained by Minnesota DNR Parks & Trails.
