The seemingly endless parade of storms continued over southern Minnesota during the late evening hours of June 17th to the early morning hours of July 18th. This time the Mankato area was especially hard hit with 24-hour rainfall totals of up to five inches reported just south of Mankato. In addition, strong winds with the storms uprooted trees that were standing in already moist soil. A mud slide closed one lane of Highway 169 between St. Peter to Mankato during the morning hours of the 18th.

With the additional rains from these storms the June rainfall at Luverne as of June 18 is now at 12.91 inches. The state record is 15.63 inches at Mapleton in 2010.

Below are storm reports and public information statements and storm reports from the National Weather Service.
