Overview
The DNR anticipates that Talon Nickel LLC (the proposer) may submit a project proposal for the Tamarack Nickel Mine (the project), a new mining operation, in 2023. The potential proposal would require the preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement under the Minnesota Environmental Policy Act.
The potential project would be located approximately 30 miles west of Cloquet, Minnesota, approximately 1.5 miles north of the City of Tamarack and approximately 10 miles east of McGregor, Minnesota.
