Soo Line North Trail: Carlton County

Soo Line North Trail: Carlton County

The Soo Line North begins at the community of Moose Lake, in Carlton County and stretches 15 miles towards Lawler. Following an abandoned railroad grade, the Soo Line North Trail is relatively flat with gentle, sweeping curves and travels through hardwood forests dotted with ponds. Many communities along the trail are ATV/OHM-friendly, allowing travel on posted roads within city limits. This section of the Soo Line North Trail is provided by Carlton County and maintained by the Evergreen PAC ATV Club.

Winter Use: Open to shared snowmobile and ATV use. ATVs are asked to stay off the groomed snowmobile trail if the temperature is above 30 degrees.

There is plowed parking in Moose Lake where the south and north meet.
