Description:

These one-, two-, or three-bedroom log and stick built cabins are all set in the towering pines along the east arm of Lake Itasca by Douglas Lodge.

Available:

Seasonal - Friday of Memorial Day weekend through first Sunday in October.

Historic East Cabin

Description:

This historic log structure built in 1937 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), once served as our information and permit booth has been repurposed into a very popular rental unit located just up the hill from Douglas Lodge.

The East Cabin rents for $240 per night or $1,440 per week, not including tax.

Available:

Seasonal - Friday of Memorial Day weekend through first Sunday in October.

  • Full kitchen with 4-burner cooktop - no oven (kitchen towels provided)
  • Two bedroom with double beds and futon in the living area (sleeps 6, linens provided)

Bear Paw cabins

Description:

Located in Bear Paw Campground, these studio-style log cabins were built in 1936 and 1939 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).

Cabins rent for $110 per night or $660 per week, not including tax.

Available:

Seasonal - Friday preceding fishing opener weekend through first Sunday in October.

  • Kitchenette with dorm style refrigerator, 2 burner cooktop - no oven (kitchen towels provided)
  • Studio-style room with a double bed and futon (sleeps 4, linens provided)
  • Half-washroom with showers located in the campgrounds (towels provided)

Bert's cabins

Description:

These one-, two- or three-bedroom log-and-stick cabins are all set beneath the towering pines of Wilderness Drive near the Mississippi River headwaters.

Available:

Seasonal. Friday of Memorial Day weekend through the first Sunday in October. Some cabins have a slightly longer extended season.

Features:

  • All cabins are stick-built with knotty pine interior, except Cabin 12, which is log construction.
  • All cabins have a full kitchen and include linens and towels for all occupants.
  • All cabins have heat, air conditioning and a picnic table.
  • Some cabins have a fireplace and screened porch; some cabins are also pet-friendly.

Lake Ozawindib Cabin

Description:

Remotely located on Lake Ozawindib, this historic log structure built in the early 1930s originally as a forestry patrol cabin offers breathtaking vistas with the utmost privacy. Being one of our most popular rental units this is a rustic cabin with no indoor plumbing. No personal towels provided.

The Lake Ozawindib Cabin rents for $200 per night or $1,200 per week, not including tax.

Available:

Seasonal - Friday preceding fishing opener weekend through second Sunday in October.

Features:

  • Vault toilet only (non-accessible)
  • Full kitchen (kitchen towels provided)
  • Fresh water pump outside
  • Two bedroom with double beds and two futons in the living area (sleeps 8, linens provided)
  • Living room with stone fireplace
  • Linens provided; personal towels not provided

  • Pets are allowed only in Bert's Cabins, and only in the units indicated as pet friendly. Pets must be personally attended at all times.
  • Wireless Internet access is available at certain locations around Itasca State Park! Please note that signal strength may vary.
    Access is available at the Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center, Douglas Lodge, Pine Ridge Campground, campground office, Forest Inn, Mary Gibbs Headwaters Center, Four-Season Suites and Bear Paw Campground.

Online reservations can be made 24 hours a day, except for the first day a reservation becomes available. On that first day, reservations cannot be made online before 8 a.m.

A non-refundable reservation fee ($10.00 for call center/$7.00 for web) is charged for each advance reservation. There is no reservation fee for same-day campsite reservations. The reservation fee (if applicable) and camping fees for the entire length of stay must be paid when the reservation is made.
