Each webinar begins at noon on Wednesdays and last less than an hour. These offerings are shorter than in-person opportunities, require no travel and fit into busy schedules.

Join us for a discussion with Carly Hawkinson, DNR park naturalist at Jay Cooke State Park, and Claire Wilson, executive director of The Loppet Foundation, as they share where you can go to learn about these winter sports and what else you need to know to get started.

Introduction to maple syrupingGathering maple sap to turn into maple syrup has been a time-honored tradition that results in a sweet treat throughout the year. Join Kao Thao, state park naturalist, and Colleen Foehrenbacher from the Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center for tips on collecting sap, boiling the sap and bottling the results.

Archery bow hunting basicsLearn how to select a hunting compound bow and the bow accessories needed to hunt effectively in the field. Desiree Holmberg, volunteer with the Becoming an Outdoors Woman program, will share her experience learning to archery hunt. This is a great program if you’re ready to transition from target archery to hunting archery.
