Park features wooded hills mixed with open prairie along the wild and scenic St. Croix River. Trails range from easy to advanced difficulty. Winter camping and lodging is available.
The park does not have ski rentals, but snowshoe rentals are available.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.
Facilities:
- Warming house available near the trailhead.
- Ski Passes are sold at the Park Contact Station.
- Ski rentals are not available at the park, but snowshoe rental is available. There is 11 miles of designated snowshoe trail.
- Winter camping is backpack only. There are no electrical hookups. Drinking water is available.

From St. Paul, go 9 miles east on I-94, then 7 miles south on Highway 95 and 3 miles east on County Road 22.
