Afton State Park
All of Afton's ski trails are open for general use. Ski trails were deteriorated with this week's warmer weather and rain.Some trails are flooded. The water is moving fast and should not be crossed with skis nor by foot. Be prepared for puddles and icy spots on the trail.

Park features wooded hills mixed with open prairie along the wild and scenic St. Croix River. Beginner loop is 2 1/2 miles long. The rest of the trails are intermediate or advanced.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.
- Warming house available near the trailhead.
- Ski Passes are sold at the Park Contact Station.
- Ski rentals are not available at the park, but snowshoe rental is available. There is 11 miles of designated snowshoe trail.
- Winter camping is backpack only. There are no electrical hookups. Drinking water is available.
