The trail(s):
The trails offer beautiful birch, aspen and pine forests along the wild and scenic Kettle River as well as the historic Sandstone quarry. There are 13 miles of ungroomed ski trail.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.

The park is located four miles north of Sandstone. The entrances is off I-35 and Minnesota highway 23. Follow the signs to the park. From the park office, follow signs to winter parking lots in the park picnic area.

Parking is available at the picnic area.
