Snow Depth and Groomed Trail Conditions
Beaver Creek Valley State Park
There is still snow on the north facing slopes. Trails have some ice and some bare ground showing. Hikers can walk on most trails right now although there are icy spots.
Our trails are not groomed, but skiers can lay their own tracks. Beaver Creek Valley Trail is an easy three mile loop that meanders through a lovely valley. In the campground, the Big Spring Trail and the unplowed campground road are both used as ski trails in the winter.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.
- There is a shelter located in the park with a wood stove.
- Ski passes are not required.
- Winter camping is not available.
Last updated on March 11, 2020. Local snow depth is 2".
