Trails have mixed conditions of ice and mud. Please use caution.

The trail(s):
The trails traverse a wide variety of scenery from valley floors to rock ridges. Deer, turkey and eagles are commonly seen. All trails are ungroomed.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.

Facilities:

  • Snowshoes are available for rental at nearby Whitewater State Park.
  • There are no winter facilities at the park and there is no winter camping.

The trailhead is located within Carley State Park, four miles south of Plainview on county road 4.

Parking is located at the trailhead.
