Snow Depth and Groomed Trail Conditions
Carley State Park
Trails are not maintained by park staff in the winter. Ice cleats and hiking poles are recommended. Trails are currently a mix of mud, slush, and ice. Please exercise caution when on hiking trails, as they may be slippery with leaves and ice.
The trails traverse a wide variety of scenery from valley floors to rock ridges. Deer, turkey and eagles are commonly seen. All trails are ungroomed.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.
- Snowshoes are available for rental at nearby Whitewater State Park.
- There are no winter facilities at the park and there is no winter camping.
