Trail Snow Report

George H. Crosby-Manitou State Park

Trail conditions:

We may be at the beginning of the end here, folks. Nearly 1.5 inches of rain have changed the conditions pretty quickly. If you get out in freezing conditions you may find great "crust walking" conditions, but the snowpack will quickly turn to oatmeal when it warms up.**Note that the gates are locked by the kiosk on the way into the Park. There is plenty of parking, there, and a short hike into the trails.

The trail(s):
Trails are not groomed for skiing but are very good for snowshoeing.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.

  • Snowshoes are available at Tettegouche State Park.
  • Backpack sites are available all winter. Self register at entrance kiosk.
