Report is current as of 0830 on 3/8/21. Trails @ St. Croix are closed until further notice.With recent temps reaching into the mid 50's our trail conditions have declined to almost zero snow. Grass is showing through almost our entire snowmobile trail system and most of our ski trails. Unless we receive new snow in March, we do not anticipate re-opening until next winter.

The trail(s):
The trails are mostly level, mixed with woodlands, marshes and rivers. A wide variety of wildlife may be seen.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.


  • A warming house is available in the park.
  • Ski passes are sold in the park.
  • Snowshoe rental is available at park office during normal business hours.
  • Winter camping is available, contact park for details.

From Hinckley, take Highway 48 east. Park entrance is located south on Highway 22.
