St Croix State Park

Trail conditions:

Snowmobile Trails are open and in excellent condition. Trails will be getting softer with the warm forecast. We were able to groom almost the entire park this past week which should make for a great weekend.The Kettle River Crossing remains closed. Although frozen, the ice is still thin and variable.Ski trails are open and in excellent condition. Trails were groomed on Wednesday 1/22 and remain in incredible shape.

The trails are mostly level, mixed with woodlands, marshes and rivers. A wide variety of wildlife may be seen.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.

Facilities:

  • A warming house is available in the park.
  • Ski passes are sold in the park.
  • Snowshoe rental is available at park office during normal business hours.
  • Winter camping is available, contact park for details.

From Hinckley, take Highway 48 east. Park entrance is located south on Highway 22.
