Tettegouche State Park

Trail conditions:

The Tettegouche area received quite a bit of fresh snow the last week of February. The sun came out and warmed up the area and the trails accumulated more ice and the hiking trails can be quite slippery.The main ski loop, connecting trail to Tettegouche Camp, and the Tettegouche Camp access trail were freshly tracked on 3/16 and are in good condition, but very hard and icy. The Mt. Baldy loop and Palisade Valley Trail were tracked two weeks ago and are icy but generally fair condition.

Trails have many ups and down, traveling through both birch, aspen and conifer forests. There are lakes and overlooks through out the trail.


  • Ski passes are sold at the park office.
  • Nearby resorts do rent out ski equipment. The park rents snowshoes.
  • Contact park for winter camping opportunities. Some sites are plowed throughout the winter.
