Twin Lake (East)

Location:

East Twin is located 5 miles northeast of Elk River or 1 mile west of the village of Nowthen. 

Species Present:

Walleye: low abundance, small average size.
Northern Pike: above average abundance, small average size.
Largemouth Bass: average abundance, average size.
Bluegill: above average abundance, average size.
Crappie: below average abundance, average size.

 

Boat Access:

The access is located within Twin Lake County Park operated by the City of Oak Grove. Travel west of Nowthen on Viking Blvd. N.W. just past the intersection of Baugh St. N.W. 

Shore Fishing:

Bank angling is limited to a fishing pier and shoreline within the park. Fishing may be limited by overhanging brush and aquatic vegetation. 

Management Plans:

  1. Fisheries standard lake survey as needed when staff time permits. 

Comments:

East Twin is a lake with good water quality, diverse habitat, and an average fish population.
