George Washington State Forest - Bear Lake Trail
Trail conditions:
Bear Lake trail is fully groomed and in good condition; however, please use caution traveling north of Bear Lake on the Little Bear Trail. There is standing water on the trail between Bear Lake and County Road 52 and also logging at the intersection of the Little Bear and Circle L trail. Slow down and use caution in these areas.

The terrain is often steep and rocky with an abundance of lakes and rivers. This area is a mix of forest offering views of wildlife and beautiful vistas.

From Nashwauk, take Highway 65 north 17 miles to the Taconite Trail parking lot.
