George Washington State Forest - Bear Lake Trail
Trail conditions:
The north and east sections of the Bear Lake trail and the entire Little Bear trail were groomed on 2-18-21. Conditions are fair with snow melting quickly on this stretch. The west side of the trail was groomed 2-23-21. Conditions are fair on this section with a 1-2 inch base.

The terrain is often steep and rocky with an abundance of lakes and rivers. This area is a mix of forest offering views of wildlife and beautiful vistas.

From Nashwauk, take Highway 65 north 17 miles to the Taconite Trail parking lot.
