Snow Depth and Groomed Trail Conditions
Blue Mounds State Park
Warm weather has melted much of the snow. Hikers will find patches of crusty snow here and there, and the occasional drift. Trails traveling up and down the cliff face have occasional ice patches.

The snowmobile trail is primarily north of Mound Creek in the park and connects road right of way trails on the east and west sides of the park. A short non outletted section allows users to come in at the main park entrance and travel to a warming shelter.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.
- A warming shelter is available with a wood burning stove.
- Ski passes are not required.
- The campgrounds are closed for the season.
