Buffalo River State Park
The trails are snow covered with up to 22" of snow. We do not have groomed ski trails but you are welcome ski on the hiking trails.Candlelight Event scheduled for Saturday, February 9th has been canceled due to the cold temperatures that are forecasted. The event may be rescheduled for mid-March if conditions allow it.
The trail runs along the river, offering the river bottom forest of elm, ash, cottonwood, oak and basswood. Wildlife that can be seen are deer, jackrabbits and a wide variety of birds.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.

The park is located four and one half miles east of Glyndon off of Highway 10. Follow main park road to the picnic area.
