The snowmobile trail has a good base, but the freezing rain has made the trail icy. Set your own ski tracks. The parking lot is plowed and the first 2 miles from the Rochester lot to 55th St./50th Ave. NW.

The trail leads through rolling farm country along the old railroad grade. You may see deer, turkeys, pheasants and many songbirds.

Getting there

From Rochester, take Highway 52 north to 55th St. west. Go to county road 3, take a left, go two and one half miles.

Parking is available at the Rochester trailhead, as well as at Douglas and Pine Island.
