Trail Snow Report

Flandrau State Park

Trail conditions:

Update - Please remember that the road in front of the beach house is an emergency/service road - not a drive through road. The campground road will be closed until it conditions improve. Ski/Trail Update 3/22/2019: The ski trails have turned to ice or melted away in sections. Flandrau will not be renting cross-country ski equipment at this time.

Parts of the trail system at Flandrau is currently under water due to the flooding of the Cottonwood RiveThe bottom section of the trail stair steps on the River Trail that heads down stream toward the old dam location and Schells are now closed due to riverbank erosion at the base of the stairs. Realignment of the lower steps will need to be completed before this section of trail reopens. It is possible for hikers to walk up the snowshoe path to a location past the upper closure but when the snow is gone, this will probably be too steep and slippery to use as well.r.
