Trail winds through Fort Ridgely Creek and the Minnesota River Valleys. Some wooded sections are located along the trail. Trails are not groomed for skiing.
- A warming house is located in the park.
- The park does not rent innertubes for the sledding hill. Visitors are welcome to bring their own innertubes or plastic sleds. Runner sleds and toboggans are not allowed.
- Winter camping is not available.
