Lake Bemidji State Park

Trail conditions:

Ski trails south of county road 20 were groomed on Friday, March 31. We are planning to groom trails north of the county road on Saturday, April 1. Most trails set up well with the exception of Rocky Point Trail which is hard and icy from being exposed to sun and wind.

The trail(s):
The trail runs through mature pine forests. You may see a wide variety of wildlife through out the park. Includes all levels of difficulty, from flat to rolling topography and steep hills. Check the park's home page for a full list of winter programs and events!
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.


  • A warming house is available in the park headquarters.
  • Ski passes are available for purchase at the park office, Monday-Sunday, 8:30-4:15.
  • Snowshoe and universal x-c ski rentals are available at the park office.
  • Camping is limited, but available, contact park for details. Four camper cabins are heated and open 7 days a week.
