Maplewood State Park

Trail conditions:

The park received 3" inches of heavy wet snow on March 5. The park has about 10-18 inches of snow in the woods. Ski trails were last groomed on Friday March 2 and are considered to be in fair condition. Snowmobile trails were last groomed on Monday February 26 and are in fair to poor condition. With the temperature fluctuations icy spots are present through out the trail system, please use caution. The park is particularly scenic with clear views of the snow-covered hills, woodlands and prairies.

There is a mixture of hardwood forest and open spaces with rolling hills, some steep.

  • Ski passes are sold at the park office.
  • You may find rentals in Detroit Lakes and Fergus Falls.

Parking is one fourth mile south of park office.
