Snow Depth and Groomed Trail Conditions

Maplewood State Park

Trail conditions:

The park has up to 15" inches of snow in the woods. The 1-mile Cataract Lake ski trail was groomed on February 27 and the longer 5-mile Grass Lake trail was groomed on Friday February 21. Expect icy areas on the ski trails in the mornings and soft/slushy areas in the afternoon. The overall ski trail conditions are fair to poor due to the recent warm temperatures and rain. Additional fresh snow will be required for any additional grooming. Snowmobile trails are in poor condition and were last groomed on February 20. The snowmobile trails have extended open areas of open ground - bare sections around corners and in open areas, please use caution. Local lakes have areas of slush. Never assume any ice is safe without checking its condition.
