There is a mixture of hardwood forest and open spaces with rolling hills, some steep.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.

Facilities:

  • Warming house open on weekends 9-4
  • Ski passes are sold at the park office.
  • You may find rentals in Detroit Lakes and Fergus Falls.

Trailhead is located seven miles east of Pelican Rapids on Highway 108.

Parking is one fourth mile south of park office.
