Snow Depth and Groomed Trail Conditions
Maplewood State Park
The park has 10" of snow in the woods, hills, valleys and prairies. The 5 mile Cataract Lake Ski Trail was packed last week on Wednesday, January 6th and remains in fair condition. Additional grooming and track-setting of the trail, however will require additional snow and cooler temperatures. Snowmobile trails are in poor condition due to the warm weather and lack of snow deep enough to groom. Additional snowfall will be required for snowmobile trail grooming to begin. Please note that the Trail Center warming house will remain closed until further notice.
