The trail is generally rolling terrain through a varying age of hardwoods, aspen and pine forests. A variety of wildlife can be seen through out the trail.

From Pine City, take county road 8 east seven miles where it intersects with county road 118 (county road 8 is blacktop, county road 118 is gravel). The trailhead is three and one half miles.
Parking is available at the trailhead.
